Since 2011, Azerikimya’s Department of Science, Technology and Nanotechnology has been developing and applying nanosystems to solve complex challenges in the oil and gas sector, contributing to increased oil recovery and improved operational efficiency.

Azerikimya’s research and development activities are carried out by the Oil and Gas Research and Design Institute (Neftqazelmitedqiqatlayihe), established on July 20, 2009, in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan aimed at improving the company’s structure.

The Geophysics and Geology Department (GGD) was established on December 23, 2005, based on the former Geophysics and Engineering Geology Production Union, by order of Azerikimya.

the Department implemented the provisions of a contract concerning gas volumes used in export energy generation, signed between Azerenergy OJSC and Azerikimya.

The research and development activities of Azerikimya are primarily conducted through the Oil and Gas Research and Design Institute (Neftqazelmitedqiqatlayihe), established on the basis of the company’s two previous institutes – the Scientific Research Institute and the Oil and Gas Project Institute – in accordance with the Decree issued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on July 20, 2009, aimed at improving the structure of Azerikimya.

AZERIKIMYA’s Complex Drilling Works Trust (CDWT) has been operating since 2007 and plays an important role in the development of Azerbaijan’s oil and gas industry.
